IMG_0432

I’m sure one of my friends will love it. (Who wants to claim it? Luck gurl!) Did I mention it just feels good? I did. Retails for $22

IMG_0436

Mistura Beauty Solutions C-2-P Complexion Corrector.  Unfortunately, my showed up a little rough and broken. Enh, Screws fall out, the world is an imperfect place (Name the movie for 5 points!) The product itself, though? Pretty dang sweet! I’ve been having The Invasion of The Dark Circles.  This helps this. C-2-P? Cream to Powder. It’s a light formulation, comfortable. Apparently, one color fits all! Retail $29

IMG_0433

IMG_0437

Mullein & Sparrow Mini Facial Mask. First can we talk about this adorable glass jar with a cork stopper?? MARKET TO ME! I’m a sucker for a clay mask. This one has 3 different clays: Kaolin, Rhassoul and Bentonite Clay.

Here’s what they say:

Kaolin Clay – Helps to stimulate circulation while gently exfoliating and cleansing skin. As kaolin clay does not draw oils from the skin, it can be used on dry skin types without negative results.

Rhassoul Clay – Contains higher percentages of silica, magnesium, potassium, and calcium, than other clays. This makes rhassoul clay famous for its unmatched ability to absorb impurities from the skin and improve skin texture without overdrying.

Bentonite Clay – Draws excess oils and debris to the surface of the skin, boosts circulation to tighten skin and stimulate blood flow, and whisks away dead skin cells that can clog pores.

Rose Powder – Helps to balance the skin. Rose powder has astringent and antibacterial properties, but does not strip the skin of moisture.

 Use:

Mix a small amount with water to form a smooth paste. Apply to moistened face, neck, and chest, avoiding eye area. Allow mask to dry. Gently remove with warm water, followed by a cool water rinse. Use at least once a week for deeply clean, radiant skin. Most effective when applied following our herbal facial steam.

Like I said, I’m a sucker for clay masks. I have slightly oily skin.. so bring it on! This one did very gently exfoliate and pull some oily out of my face. I’ve only used it once so far. Can’t wait to use it again! Retails for $15

So there you go! My first BoxyCharm Box. Each box is $21 a month. Full Retail value on this box? $97 Whoa! Very COOL!

Ipsy Bag – February 2015

Hello Y’all!

It’s Ipsy Time!

IMG_0423

Let’s chat about the bag. It’s cute. Pink for Valentine’s Day. They grey sweet accents against the hot pink. I’m more of a fan of the bags with the zipper on the top, but hey, it’s still adorable!

IMG_0424

It’s all about the products, right? Overall, I like the selection.

IMG_0425

First item! Emite Eyelash CurlerI’ve been using an eyelash curler for over 20 years. Every time I put on makeup. Currently, I’ve been using my elf curler. I was stoked to find out that I was getting this. I really like it. It came with 3 replacement cushions. Its bent to not disturb you foundation. This sounds like a gimmick. I can tell you that countless times I have put curler dents in my cheeks. Partially because I’m lazy and I’ve got big cheeks. This retails for $25. This alone, though covered the cost of this month’s bag.

Here’s what they say:

Our Professional Eye Lash curler has a special curved design which angles to suit all eye shapes, without touching your makeup base. Its silicone rubber pad applies the appropriate amount of pressure to curl lashes naturally. Your eye lashes will remain in perfect shape all day.

IMG_0427

Second item. Model Co Blush in Cosmopolitan.  The color is a sheer barbie pink. The formula is soooo soft! It’s not chalky at all. Provides a sweet healthy pink flush. I like it. I really appreciate the lack of shimmer/sparkles. Retail for full size $22.

Here’s what they say on the site:

ModelCo’s BLUSH Cheek Powder creates a beaming, rosy glow to brighten every complexion. The micronized colour pigments and luxurious, pressed powder delivers a sheer, natural radiance that lasts all day.

IMG_0428

Third Item. eva-nyc Up All Night Volumizing SprayHrmmm. I tried this yesterday when I blow dried my hair. It didn’t blow me away. (I’m punny!) I’ll try it again. Maybe I need to use more. I’m always apply conservatory when trying a new hair product. I have fine hair and hate rewashing when I’ve done something stooped like putting too much stuff in my hair. It smells warm and clean. Didn’t notice any scent after styling. Which it great! Full size is $24.

Here’s what the site says:

Get the ultimate blowout with this multi-tasking spray! The light-weight formula adds volume and texture to hair, while protecting against heat for healthier styling.

How to use:  Apply to damp hair before blow drying for added texture and lift, or use on dry hair as a revitalizing spray.

IMG_0429

Fourth item. Mitchell and Peach Fine Radiance Face Oil. I wanted to LOVE this. And I partially do.  I really like how it makes my skin feel. The morning after my skin is a little plumper, a little more glowy and happier  You know what I’m going to say…. The scent. For me it’s too much. I know it’s a running theme for me. I was born with a uber sensitive nose. (For example, I’ve told The Boyfriend what he had for lunch when he gets home at 7pm. It’s a blessing and curse.) I’ll use this when my olfactory system isn’t turned up to eleven. Full size is about $46.

Here’s what the site says:

A highly effective face oil packed with powerful natural anti-oxidants and vitamins that are instantly absorbed to leave skin feeling plumper, firmer and glowing with radiance.

The unique formulation, which has a luxuriously powdery feel, contains cobnut oil from the Mitchell farming estate. The oil is mildly astringent (producing a tightening effect) and brimming with Vitamin E, known for its anti-oxidant properties, as well as Vitamin B, which evens skin tone.

Other ingredients include vitamin-rich apricot kernel oil, coconut oil and wheat germ oil to protect against oxidative stress.

The Fine Radiance Face Oil is delicately fragranced with Mitchell and Peach’s Flora No.1 fragrance, a blend of uplifting floral essences including rose, lavender and ylang-ylang

IMG_0426

Fifth item. Color City Creamy Lip Stain in Flirtini. This color on my is a slight tint, a sheer wash of color.. I have dark lips. The formula to me is thin and lightweight. It’s supposed to be matte. It never gets there completely on me. There is a distinct flavor. Like maybe roses. I’m getting use to it and it fades after wearing. All the shades beside Flirtini are sold out at the moment! Retails for $4.99

Here’s what the site says:

A hybrid between a lipstick and gloss, City Color Creamy Lip Stain gives your lips true, bold color that won’t quit! Applies thick and creamy with a glossy shine and sets with a lightweight, matte stain that doesn’t dry out. Available in 6 fun and flirty shades.

So there you have it! February’s Ipsy Bag.  Some fun and useful stuff for $10.

Maybelline Matte & Poreless Fit Me Foundation Review

IMG_0261

I said I’d review Maybelline Matte & Poreless Fit Me Foundation.

There’s a lot of love going around for this foundation. For me? It just didn’t work. It made my oily parts oilier, my dry parts… you got it, drier. I tried it every way I could….. moisturizer, powders, two different primers, fingers, brush, and a beauty blender type sponge.

It made my relatively decent skin look bad. It made me look old.

Therefore, I’m returning it.

Hopefully, I’m just the exception. I really wanted this to work. I love the idea.

Stay awesome.

Cheers,

Clare

February Favorites

Here’s a quick Favorites Blog.

Some products that I just so happy that I found.

Without further ado……..

IMG_0207

Jesse’s Girl Eyeliner.  It’s not a felt tip. It’s a brush. I love this stuff. It’s black and precise. Long lasting. Smooth. Good for a beginner and more experienced peeps. You can easily vary the line thickness. I’ve heard this is a dupe for Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner. The difference is about $12.00. This liner is about $7.00 and I’m sure you can find an online coupon. I bought mine online.

Website Blurb:

Our unique Japanese calligraphy-style brush allows for precise, super-fine application that lets you create lines as small as one millimeter thickness! Combined with a formula that dries super-quick for a smudge-proof application, our liquid eyeliner glides on smoothly without tugging or pulling.

IMG_0205

e.l.f. Volumizing & Defining Mascara-  A wonderful everyday mascara. At first I didn’t love it, but after it dried out a wee bit…. it’s a totally different story.  As you can tell there’s no writing on the tube! It’s traveled with me a few times and has rubbed off. It’s not a clumpy, crumbly mascara, not is it so wet that it doesn’t seem to dry. You can have it look very natural and build it up for a more of a dramatic look. What will surprise you, is that it’s TWO DOLLARS (Better Off Dead, anyone?)!!! e.l.f. has sales going on a lot. Next time you get stuff, pick one of these up. I love e.lf.! I might have bought oodles during their President’s Day Sale. (Hrmmm, would you like to read a Haul Blog?)

Here’s what they say on their site:

This mascara creates voluptuous lashes that are full and defined. The vitamin B&E enriched formula conditions lashes, and the silicone brush effortlessly combs through lashes, coating them evenly for a rich finish.

IMG_0206

Marc Anothny’s Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Hairspray.  Okay, I’m a Child of 90’s Mall Hair. I think the pictures from my high school yearbook are flammable. Seriously, HOLY HAIRSPRAY, BATMAN! For years, I’ve avoided hairspray, except for special occasions. A couple months ago, I received this in my Ipsy Bag. Gave it the ol’ college try. I loved it. Makes my hair SHINE! Don’t be fooled be it’s softness.. it holds. Helps with volume. If you love the CRUNCH, this is not for you. Oh.. the smell! Wrongish (here on WordPress!) and I had been trying to figure out the smell. The Boyfriend called it… PLUMS! So pretty. The big can is about $8.00, there still might be a coupon left on coupons.com for several dollars off.

Here’s what they say on their website:

The non-water based, fast drying formula creates volume and hold without stickiness or flaking and its flexible finish creates workable styles for easy re-styling without crunch or heavy build-up. It creates a luminous finish and shields against humidity for longer lasting styles. Sun Protectors keep the sun and other elements from damaging your full bodied mane. When you buy Argan Oil products for your hair you’re getting one of the best natural resources for healthy looking hair. What more could you want from a hairspray!

IMG_0204

Honey. Yes, honey. Why honey? Blackheads. EWWWWW, right? Most of us have them. We all want them to go away. This is how I get mine to hit the road. Take a little on your fingers and start pouncing them on where you have them. Do this tacky pulling motion for 5-10 minutes over the sink while you are wearing an old short. You may have to do this a few time before they are all gone. It works. The honey that works most efficiently is the unprocessed stuff. The best I’ve used is from someone had their own hive.  (this honey is from New Mexico, it’s almost gone! *sadface*)

Let me know if you have any questions.

Stay Awesome!

Cheers,

Clare

Colour Pop Review

Alright Fellow Goo Lovers!

I’m sure a lot of you have heard and seen the Colour Pop Eyeshadows and Lippie Stix all over the Interwebs.

The HYPE is REAL!

I love these products.

These eyeshadows have a wonderful cool, sponge-mousey feeling. The pigment is amazing. They are long lasting. The color selection is plentiful. There are several finishes…. Metallic, Pearlized, Pressed Pigments, Satin, Tie-Dye, Ultra-Metallic and Matte.

Lippie Stix are also pigmented. There are so many colors! They come in 4 finishes comes in Pearlized, Glossy Satin and Matte. The texture is wonderful. Pretty long lasting.

I bet you want to see swatches about now, right? Okay then, bring on ALL the photos!! (Seriously, there’s a lot!)

IMG_0145

IMG_0137

IMG_0141

I ❤ This… No seriously, that’s the name. I do ❤ this it’s a neutral, shimmery medium champagne

IMG_0146

Truth… a satin peachy shadow. It’s a good base color.

IMG_0147

Meow… This is one of their Tie-Dyes shadows. It’s sparkly. When all the colors are swirled together it’s a lavender steel color. All most like a cool taupey color.

IMG_0140

3… This a multicolored glittery bronze shade. So pretty.

IMG_0139

Hammered… The glittery reflex is gold the base is olive.

IMG_0142

Kringle…A silver blue grey… Seems slightly green at times. (This one almost matches my eye color.)

IMG_0148

Rex….. This is one of those you have to see it to believe it. It’s a black base with purple and blue reflex glitter. GAH! I wore this for a cocktail party. Such Dark Happiness!! It’s also, very pretty over black liner.

IMG_0200

Took this in indirect light. Look at these! All done with the single swipe. One dip and swoosh on to my arm. These are incredibly smooth feeling even the highly sparkly ones. For the most pigmentation use your finger. For a wash of color use a brush. They are buildable.

IMG_0201

This one is in direct lighting. It’s party on my arm!

IMG_0202I took a makeup wipe to remove the swatches right after the photos. Now that’s some awesomely awesome staying power!

Let’s look at The Lippie Stix and a Lippie Pencil.

IMG_0143

The one on the left is Trixie. She’s a bright pink with a whisper of coral.

On the right, I ❤ This. Yes, there’s a Lippie Stix with the same name as one of their eyeshadows. I like to wear this with the eyeshadow. Such a pretty combo. This one is a bright pinky red! It’s the one I’m wearing in my current Instagram Profile Picture.

IMG_0149

Next we have L to R. Lumiere and Bichette and Lumiere Pencil. I follow Kathleen Lights on You Tube and Lumiere is her collaboration with ColourPop. (I can’t wait for here eyeshadow colab.) It’s such a pretty everyday dusty pinky mauve. I’ve gotten compliments wearing this one.

Now for Bichette, It’s a perfect wine lipstick. Not quite vampy, classically old Hollywood wine. It’s BOLD. (At least for me.) And lovely!

IMG_0203Top to bottom: Lumiere Lippie Pencil and Lippie Stix, Trixie, I ❤ This and Bichette. (Colors are showing rather bright,)

The amazing thing is that these are $5 a piece. Say what? Yes.

Colour Pop is currently launching their blush line. They are going to be $8 a piece. To say that I want some.. is a an understatement.. I think I might need. Love me some blush. I hope they come out with some contouring products.

You know I like a company that has great products… I love a company that are filled with some kick-arse people.. I haven’t met them, but I do follow them on a couple social media sites.. and they send these handwritten cards with each order.

Go find them: HERE!

Dandelion

It’s been way too long since I’ve sat down at my computer and gathered my goohording thoughts. The Holidays seemed to have flown by and I haven’t posted. I’m a baaad little beauty blogger. Don’t hate me, okay?

Good things? I’ve seen some of The Boyfriend’s family. I’ve seen my parents. I’ve hung out with some of my dearests, Worked on re-orging the The Boyfriend’s closets of shirts and suits. Speaking of The Boyfriend……

Ipsy Bag – November 2014

Hello Y’all!

Can you believe that it’s almost the end of the year? I remember when I restarted this blog in July, which seems like yesterday!

IMG_5363

This month’s Ipsy Bag’s theme is “Girl meets Glitter”. Fun and Festive.

IMG_5355            IMG_5354

When I first say the bag, I thought it was going to have a glitter texture. Not at all, it reminds me of banana bike seats of the 1970’s. Awwww Yeahh..

IMG_5360

Elizabeth Mott’s You’re So Fine Liquid Eyeliner – I got this in the black glittery shade, Glitterati. It’s supposed to be a micro fine brush. I don’t find mine to be. The formula though is pretty darn smooth for having glitter in it. The silver flecks are very fun and flirty. The formula is very durable and rather waterproof, I had to really rub the swatch off with soap in the shower. Full Size $17.99

IMG_5357

Temptu Pink Pearl Highlighter – This item is meant to be used with the Temptu Airbrush Machine. Fancy! The color is very sweet. Pinky and pearly just like the name. It’s a subtle highlighter, blends very well into the skin.. a little too well. It probably works much better with the machine. I’m looking forward to adding a couple drops into my foundation to see if it gives that lit from within look. Sample Size $2.75

IMG_5361

J. Cat Wonder Lip Paint – Okay, I can say this now!!! I knew that we were all going to get this product back in July. When I was as CosmprofNA, I chatted with this fun company! I have another shade from that massive haul that I need to try. This shade from *this* bag?! Awesome. Mine is Red Potion. On me it’s a great red wine color. Just a lovely semi-transparent, but pigmented, kinda slippery vampy shade. It’s bit staining, too. After it wears off it looks like you just ate ALL the berries! Makes your teeth look white, too! I’m a fan. Full Size $4.99

IMG_5359

Be A Bombshell Eye Base – Y’all know how I feel about this company! They are Da Bomb and they keep coming about with beautiful products that work! I received the shade Submissive. First the jar. It reminds me of quality old makeup packaging. It’s glass dip pot. I totally dig it. The color is bronzy tan. It’s smooth, yet has that perfect tacky finish for a base. I’ve used this a couple times for some wear ALL the eyeshadow looks and it kept everything in place and pretty much crease free for many hours. Full Size $14.99

IMG_5356

Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Hairspray-  Ohhhhh! I like this. I have a couple cans of Ma Hair is Going to Survive Any Wind Storm Super Hold. I was happy to see this. It’s a softer medium hold spray that smells like berries. It’s fresh and a little sweet. It smells happy. It leaves your hair shiny, too. I like it! Travel Size $2.99

IMG_5364

Here are all the swatches. Not a bad bad at all! Good Job, Ipsy! By the way Happy Birthday to you, Ipsy!!

So, Grand Total of this bag is *drumrool, please* is $43.71.  Sweet!

Urban Decay Smoked Palette Review

I remember seeing this palette when it came out. I was at South Coast Plaza, walking through the cosmetics department in Macy’s. One shade in this palette caught my eye from 15 feet away. Mushroom. Yep, my taupe loving soul began lusting over this neutral shade. At the time, life was financially very tenuous. So, I swatched it on my hand and admired it for the rest of the evening. Life went on.

Last week, I got an email from Ulta. The Smoked Palette was on sale for $29 and a coupon for 20% for the whole order. I knew Mushroom and her friends had to be mine. I immediately put in in my cart. (I also picked up an Essence Lipstick. We’ll chat about that at a later date!) With shipping my order cam out to $34. That, I could live with. Originally, this palette was $49. The sample size Primer Potion and the Perversion 24/7 eyeliner are over $26. I bagged a deal. You can, too! Here’s the link to the Urban Decay site. It’s now on sale for $29 on their site! I’m sure if you look around  there’s a discount code somewhere on the interwebs.

Here’s everything in the palette:

IMG_5137

You get:

10 eyeshadows – 4 matte and 7 shimmers

1 24/7 Glide-n Eye Pencil in Perversion

1 Sample Size Primer Potion in Original

1 Smoked Get the Look Book

IMG_5133

Here’s a closer look at the shadows.

I really like them. They are creamy and the colors are beautiful. When the light hits the shimmer shades.. it dances. So pretty. (All swatches done sans primer. Of course, they will be more intense with said primer!)

IMG_5135

Top Row:

Kinky: Matte cream color. Feels very buttery to me. I’ve heard that some think it chalky, but I haven’t had that experience. Would definitely work for a matte brow bone highlight.

Freestyle: Matte peachy shade. It barely shows up on me. Good all over base color.

MUSHROOM: (That’s right she deserves all caps, I love her.) Shimmery taupe. Beautiful lid color. One of my favorite shadows, already!

Backdoor: Matte neutral-ish dark brown. Great crease shade.

Blackout: Matte black. Really good pigmentation. When I went to clean off my arm with a makeup wipe, this one wanted to stay on.

IMG_5136

Bottom Row:

All of these seem to have the same depth of color and pigmentation.

Barlust: Shimmery mid-tone warm brown

Rockstar: Shimmery Eggplant Purple

Evidence: Shimmery Indigo Blue

Loaded: Shimmery Dark Forest Green.

IMG_5134

Those are the shadows. Also included is the Look Book, the Eyeliner and the Primer.

The Look Book contains 12 different looks that you can do.

The 24/7 Glide-n Eye Pencil in Perversion is very black and creamy. Once it sets it’s almost completely smudge proof. There’s a reason why these liners are a cult favorite.

The Eyeshadow Primer Potion is also a cult fave. Why? Cause it works! Bam.

There you go folks.. Go get this palette!!! Srsly, you may just kick yourself if you don’t. I have a feeling it’s not going to be around for much longer!

Stay Awesome, My Fellow GooHorders!

Cheers,

Clare

Ipsy Bag – October 2014

I know what you are all saying, “Clare, you know it’s November, right?”

Yesssssss, I do. I’ve spent a few days of seeing friends, eating Thai food on the couch watching Hotel Hell (Srsly, Gordon Ramsay takes his clothes off in every episode!) and cleaning up my little misfit bungalow.

Better late than never, right?

Right!

So here we go…… :bang zoom:

This months bag is supah adorable! It’s teal and quilted. It has the circle thumb pull, which I so prefer. I love it!

IMG_4908               IMG_4910

Now for as overview shot.. Here’s the entire bag contents.

IMG_4904

Minus the postcard inserts. Mine are somewhere?? 🙂

IMG_4907

First Item- Starlooks Lipgloss in Guilty Pleasure. It’s a pinky browny nude. I like the color just not on me. This shade just doesn’t work on me. It smells like buttercream frosting with none of that plastic vanilla smell! Feels great on, too! Full Size is $12

IMG_4911

Second Item- Nicole by OPI in Feeling Very Cherry. I’ve tried to find this on the Nicole by OPI website with no luck. Nonetheless, I LOVE IT! These vampy, sanguine fall polishes make me happy! So glad I got this shade. It applies smoothly. I used mine with a quick dry top coat at 8:30pm and was able to hit the sheets somewhere about an hour later with no marks. It did chip the next day, but that’s just the way regular polishes are on me. I’ll be trying this over gel this week. Average price $7

IMG_4909

Third Item – Model Co. Volumeyes Mascara – (The link is for the Extreme Black.) I like this mascara. Works well with falsies. Very Black. And dare I say, :looks over shoulders: I like it better than UD’s Perversion. :A thousand gasps from the Goo Horders around the world: UD’s makes my eyes a little itchy, it’s not a smooth formula and makes my lashes the bad kinda spidery. I’ll keep trying it though. Model Co Volumeyes doesn’t do any of the above. So there. I might be burned at the stake for being the only one to go against the UD Perversion hype. (Send me macarons in Beauty Jail, please?) This is a $20 item.

IMG_4906

Fourth Item – Epice Purifying Exfoliant. I think the Ipsy Team is watching me. Srsly, I’m a sucker for exfoliators, especially these superfine ones. I love the feeling of sandblasted, polished skin. I got the dr. brandt one a couple months ago and love it, too. Ipsy knows their audience, don’t they? The Epice on smells clean and does the job. It’s on the pricey side though.  For 3.3 oz it’s $32. So, this 1oz tube is basically $10!

IMG_4905

Fifth Item- Fig & Rouge Hand Cream in Rose Berry. If you read my August Favorites you know I have my HG hand cream. I’ve been using it for a decade. With that said, I don’t like hand creams/lotions. Only, The H2OPlus one. This will be going into the Friend’s Grab Bag. It’s okay. The smell to me is way too sweet and doesn’t dissipate. Personally, I don’t like my hands to smell like anything thing, but clean. A positive is that the packaging is ka-yoot! This tube is about $6.95.

Overall, I like this bag. There was only one total miss for me, the hand cream. The gloss, I can probably make work over a darker lipstick.

Let’s get a bag total: $44 (rounding up and that’s w/o the gloss) Not freaking bad, folks! Srsly for only $10.

If you want to join in on the Ipsy fun….  please use this link! I appreciate the points.

Stay Awesome.

Cheers,

Clare

Rocktober Favorites

Helllllo!

So Zeptember totally got away from me.. It just means that Rocktober’s Favorites get to happen a little early! Awwww yeah! \mm/

Let’s light this candle….

IMG_4766

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask- This stuff! I first heard about it from Kathleen Lights on YouTube. It’s pretty dang amazing. It can be mixed with water or apple cider vinegar. I mix it with ACV, slather it all over my face and then watch some Hart of Dixie, Australia’s Next Top Model or some SuperNatural…. It can take a bit to dry, but that’s a-okay! When they says it makes you face pulsate… they ain’t kidding. Very strange sensation, but I kinda dig it. Don’t be alarmed when you take it off and your face is the shade of a tomato.. this will calm down after a couple few minutes. After using this my face GLOWS! I might like it even more than GlamGlow YouthMud. What shocked me was the price. It’s less than $5 for A POUND!

Here’s the blurb:

Mix clay with equal parts of raw apple cider vinegar and/or water.  Use a non-metal bowl and utensil.  Stir the mixture into a smooth paste.  Add more clay or liquid as needed.  Apply 1/4 in. to 1/2  to the face or other area.  Let it dry for 5-10 min. for delicate skin and 15-20 min for normal skin.  You will feel a pulling and tightening sensation.  Feel Your Face Pulsate!  Remove clay by washing with warm water.  Slight redness of the skin is normal and will disappear in about 30 minutes.  Removes impurities and dirt from the pores.

I got mine at VitaCost. Their shipping prices are amazing! Here’s what they say, “Within the contiguous U.S., FREE standard shipping is available for orders of $49 or more, while orders under $49 ship for a flat rate of $4.99. And you only need to spend $25 on Vitacost brand products and these select brands to qualify for FREE standard shipping.” Oh, and if you order before 1pm, it could arrive the next day (depending where you live)!

IMG_4767

Real Techniques Make up Brush- I started watching the sisters of PixiWoo on YouTube about a year or so ago. They are just amazing. When I found out they had their own brushes, I hightailed it to Ulta. I first picked up the smaller orange one in the picture, the Expert Face Brush. I use it for all kinds of foundation and concealer. The pink one is the Blush Brush. I’ve used it for blush, bronzer and subtle contouring. The big orange one is the Powder Brush. I use it with the Verona Mattifying Powder from my August’s Favorites and Mineral Veils. I also have the kit with the eye brushes. These brushes are my favorite brushes. They are soft, easy to clean, easy to hold and apply makeup flawlessly. Also, they are pretty easy on the wallet. So go grab your Ulta coupons and try them out!

TStudio Pearl Ceramic Professional Styling Wand– This was suggested to me by The Boyfriend’s sister. I’m so glad I listened. My hair is notoriously hard to curl. It curls and then 5 minutes later it’s straight again. With these I can wake up the next morning and still have waves! You can selected your heat setting up to 410 degrees. The auto-shutoff helps cure that awful feeling of DID I TURN OFF THE CURLING IRON? MY HOUSE IS GONNA BURN DOWN!! I also like the tapered-ness of the wand, the curls are a bit more natural looking. I have both the ½” to 1” and the 1” to 1½” … a girl’s gotta have options. First few times I used the glove. Now I don’t, I can get a better feel for grasping the end of the hair. I won’t lied, I did burn my thumb once. I burned myself once, and then I learned… HOT! 🙂 Not a bad price on these either. You can find them at Target and all over the web…

Gel Polish Removal Clamps- I got these on eBay. Such a time saver. Put acetone on a piece of cotton land and clamp…. wait. No trying to fiddle with tin foil. You also get a better saturation on the actual nail with these. Also, they are great for removing glitter polishes.

Simply Balanced Greek Yogurt– You can find these little tubs of tastiness at Target. They come in several flavors. Black cherry is my favorite with Blueberry a close second. Cheaper than most yogurt cups at 87 cents.. and with your Target Red Card they are 83 cents! If you love yogurt like me, you have to try them!

There you go.. my Rocktober Favorites! What are some of yours?

Be Awesome!

Cheers,

Clare
