Hello Fellow Goo Hoarders!
I sat down filmed and fun little update and package opening video for y’all.
Hello Fellow Goo Horders!
Are you ready for another Ipsy Bag Review?
All righty then. Let’s get this Ipsy Party started!
This month’s theme is Beautifully Bohemian. The bag itself is totally different. It’s a woven, it feels like a burlap.. in a good way! Totally cute! This one is going in my purse.
Klorane Dry Shampoo – I like the fact that dry shampoos are getting more popular. It means that they keep getting better. This one is good! It smells clean and doesn’t make your have feel chalky or even dirtier. I’ve been using more dry shampoos because I’ve been going redder each time I color my hair. We all know how fast red fades! This trial size retails for $9.00!
Mica Beauty Cosmetics Eye Primer – This is some tacky stuff. It does it’s job. It provides an evened out base for shadows. I even used it for under the eye to keep my concealer from traveling. At the 7 hour mark everything was still in place!I just looked up the price and dang!!! It’s a whopping $44.95!! Tres cher, mon ami!
What they say:
Use MicaBeauty Eye Primer to seal in Eye Shadows and Foundation, enhancing your all-day look. Go from shimmer to matte in just seconds. This waterproof formula provides the perfect foundation for a long lasting, smudge proof look that is designed for your active lifestyle. MicaBeauty Eye Primer helps even out skin tone as well as extends and intensifies your mineral eye shadows, without creasing, smearing, or fading.
Julie G Nail Polish in Damsel – Dood! Look at that paaaaank! It’s as bright on the nails as it is in the bottle. This is a good polish. I’m going to go to Rite-Aid and use the $1 coupon that came with this. Retails for $3.99 plus a $1 coupon… So say a $4.99 value.
The Balm Nude Dude in Flirty – I have the first Nude ‘Tude palette. I picked it up at CosmoProf in Las Vegas a couple years ago. I love it! The quality is the bomb.(See what I did there?) I’m glad they came out with another Nude Palette. Y’all know that I’m a sucker for them. This shade is a mauve-y mid-tone brown. A single shadow should retail for about $3.
Hikari Blush in Tango – This is such a sweet peachy pink. It’s pigmented too. I bounced my brush on it twice and I had enough for both cheeks. It’s a very healthy color on the cheeks. It’s matte and soft. If you look at the featured photo, the one at the top of this blog… you’ll notice it leans more coral in that picture. This blush definitely walks the beautiful line between coral/peach and pink. Retails for $15.00
Here are the swatches. Top to Bottom. Eyeshadow, Blush, Eye Primer
Dang good bag this month! My bag totals about $77. Srsly good!

Hello My Fellow Goo Horders!
Okay.. I know we are all signing into Ipsy to find out our sneak previews for our April Bags right now…… but this is my March Bag!
This month’s bag is very Spring-y. The back is a happy blue and the from has this fun floral pattern. Very apt considering the theme this month is…..
Anyone else watch these amazing women on YouTube?
Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind Illuminating Face Highlighter – This shade is a delicate pink with a tiny touch of pink. The texture is soft. I used it over a matte blush it looked great. It’s a little too dark for me to use strictly as a highlighter. I think it’ll be great in the summer when I have a tan (as a highlighter)! This is a sample size. On eBay for $6-10.
NYX Butter Lipstick– This shade is in Hunk. It did not photograph as PURPLE as it really is. It’s a fun color, not too pigmented. I will definitely go look at other shades. I love the feeling and there’s no scent. Price $6.00
Boo Boo Cover-Up – I got this is Medium. I used this under my eyes. I’m a picky person when it comes to concealer. Everything creases on me. I’ve been using this since I’ve received it. Doesn’t crease as badly as other concealers. The color is natural. Price $10
What they say:
Have a Boo-Boo on the Go? Skip the bandage and the shiny ointment. Look your best even while you heal with Baby Boo-Boo Cover-Up for the Face and Body. Our innovative formula offers great coverage for skin imperfections while containing ingredients known in nature to promote healing.Contains aloe, chamomile, green tea, tea tree oil and vitamin E.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More Anti-Aging Mattifying Lotion – First, this is very sad. I just read on the Interwebs that Dr. Brandt has committed suicide. Ipsy introduced me to his products which I love. I hope he is a peace. Let’s talk out this primer. I like it with regular foundation. With my BB cream though it pilled. It does mattify, which I always like. It does have a strongish scent when applied, it does fade quickly. This makes skin feel soft. The full size price is $60.00. If my math is right this sample would be about $21.00.
Hre’s what the site says:
“An apple a day keeps the lines away.” This lightweight lotion formulated with apple stem cells to help delay the natural signs of aging by maintaining the longevity and activity of stem cells in the skin. Simultaneously, retinol stimulates new cell turnover and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Dr. Brandt’s multi-tasking formula provides the best of both worlds, delivering anti-aging and pore minimizing/mattifying benefits.
Pur-lisse Pur-Delicate 4-in-1 Cleanser – Uggghh!! I wanted to love this. The first time I used this, I was having an allergic reaction for another product. I thought it was going to be very gentle. My face burned after washing. It was very drying, too. I will try it again soon, now that my face has calmed down. I know my friend who received it really likes it. Sample price approximately $6.
Here’s what they say:
Appreciate your skin, don’t irritate it. Cleanse away the day with this gentle, non~irritating blend of Soy Milk, Soy Proteins, Whole Oat and White Tea. A mild soap~free, non~foaming cleanser that respects the delicate nature of your skin. Leaves your face touchable and silky soft, without a trace of impurity.
Here are the swatches! The lipstick is more purple. The concealer is pretty spot on.
Yay! This was a gooood bag! I’ve gotten to try products that I’ve been wanting to.

It’s Ipsy Time!
Let’s chat about the bag. It’s cute. Pink for Valentine’s Day. They grey sweet accents against the hot pink. I’m more of a fan of the bags with the zipper on the top, but hey, it’s still adorable!
It’s all about the products, right? Overall, I like the selection.
First item! Emite Eyelash Curler. I’ve been using an eyelash curler for over 20 years. Every time I put on makeup. Currently, I’ve been using my elf curler. I was stoked to find out that I was getting this. I really like it. It came with 3 replacement cushions. Its bent to not disturb you foundation. This sounds like a gimmick. I can tell you that countless times I have put curler dents in my cheeks. Partially because I’m lazy and I’ve got big cheeks. This retails for $25. This alone, though covered the cost of this month’s bag.
Here’s what they say:
Our Professional Eye Lash curler has a special curved design which angles to suit all eye shapes, without touching your makeup base. Its silicone rubber pad applies the appropriate amount of pressure to curl lashes naturally. Your eye lashes will remain in perfect shape all day.
Second item. Model Co Blush in Cosmopolitan. The color is a sheer barbie pink. The formula is soooo soft! It’s not chalky at all. Provides a sweet healthy pink flush. I like it. I really appreciate the lack of shimmer/sparkles. Retail for full size $22.
Here’s what they say on the site:
ModelCo’s BLUSH Cheek Powder creates a beaming, rosy glow to brighten every complexion. The micronized colour pigments and luxurious, pressed powder delivers a sheer, natural radiance that lasts all day.
Third Item. eva-nyc Up All Night Volumizing Spray. Hrmmm. I tried this yesterday when I blow dried my hair. It didn’t blow me away. (I’m punny!) I’ll try it again. Maybe I need to use more. I’m always apply conservatory when trying a new hair product. I have fine hair and hate rewashing when I’ve done something stooped like putting too much stuff in my hair. It smells warm and clean. Didn’t notice any scent after styling. Which it great! Full size is $24.
Here’s what the site says:
Get the ultimate blowout with this multi-tasking spray! The light-weight formula adds volume and texture to hair, while protecting against heat for healthier styling.
How to use: Apply to damp hair before blow drying for added texture and lift, or use on dry hair as a revitalizing spray.
Fourth item. Mitchell and Peach Fine Radiance Face Oil. I wanted to LOVE this. And I partially do. I really like how it makes my skin feel. The morning after my skin is a little plumper, a little more glowy and happier You know what I’m going to say…. The scent. For me it’s too much. I know it’s a running theme for me. I was born with a uber sensitive nose. (For example, I’ve told The Boyfriend what he had for lunch when he gets home at 7pm. It’s a blessing and curse.) I’ll use this when my olfactory system isn’t turned up to eleven. Full size is about $46.
Here’s what the site says:
A highly effective face oil packed with powerful natural anti-oxidants and vitamins that are instantly absorbed to leave skin feeling plumper, firmer and glowing with radiance.
The unique formulation, which has a luxuriously powdery feel, contains cobnut oil from the Mitchell farming estate. The oil is mildly astringent (producing a tightening effect) and brimming with Vitamin E, known for its anti-oxidant properties, as well as Vitamin B, which evens skin tone.
Other ingredients include vitamin-rich apricot kernel oil, coconut oil and wheat germ oil to protect against oxidative stress.
The Fine Radiance Face Oil is delicately fragranced with Mitchell and Peach’s Flora No.1 fragrance, a blend of uplifting floral essences including rose, lavender and ylang-ylang
Fifth item. Color City Creamy Lip Stain in Flirtini. This color on my is a slight tint, a sheer wash of color.. I have dark lips. The formula to me is thin and lightweight. It’s supposed to be matte. It never gets there completely on me. There is a distinct flavor. Like maybe roses. I’m getting use to it and it fades after wearing. All the shades beside Flirtini are sold out at the moment! Retails for $4.99
Here’s what the site says:
A hybrid between a lipstick and gloss, City Color Creamy Lip Stain gives your lips true, bold color that won’t quit! Applies thick and creamy with a glossy shine and sets with a lightweight, matte stain that doesn’t dry out. Available in 6 fun and flirty shades.
So there you have it! February’s Ipsy Bag. Some fun and useful stuff for $10.
If you want bags for yourself.. Please use this link.. I’ll love you forevah!
Can you believe that it’s almost the end of the year? I remember when I restarted this blog in July, which seems like yesterday!
This month’s Ipsy Bag’s theme is “Girl meets Glitter”. Fun and Festive.
When I first say the bag, I thought it was going to have a glitter texture. Not at all, it reminds me of banana bike seats of the 1970’s. Awwww Yeahh..
Elizabeth Mott’s You’re So Fine Liquid Eyeliner – I got this in the black glittery shade, Glitterati. It’s supposed to be a micro fine brush. I don’t find mine to be. The formula though is pretty darn smooth for having glitter in it. The silver flecks are very fun and flirty. The formula is very durable and rather waterproof, I had to really rub the swatch off with soap in the shower. Full Size $17.99
Temptu Pink Pearl Highlighter – This item is meant to be used with the Temptu Airbrush Machine. Fancy! The color is very sweet. Pinky and pearly just like the name. It’s a subtle highlighter, blends very well into the skin.. a little too well. It probably works much better with the machine. I’m looking forward to adding a couple drops into my foundation to see if it gives that lit from within look. Sample Size $2.75
J. Cat Wonder Lip Paint – Okay, I can say this now!!! I knew that we were all going to get this product back in July. When I was as CosmprofNA, I chatted with this fun company! I have another shade from that massive haul that I need to try. This shade from *this* bag?! Awesome. Mine is Red Potion. On me it’s a great red wine color. Just a lovely semi-transparent, but pigmented, kinda slippery vampy shade. It’s bit staining, too. After it wears off it looks like you just ate ALL the berries! Makes your teeth look white, too! I’m a fan. Full Size $4.99
Be A Bombshell Eye Base – Y’all know how I feel about this company! They are Da Bomb and they keep coming about with beautiful products that work! I received the shade Submissive. First the jar. It reminds me of quality old makeup packaging. It’s glass dip pot. I totally dig it. The color is bronzy tan. It’s smooth, yet has that perfect tacky finish for a base. I’ve used this a couple times for some wear ALL the eyeshadow looks and it kept everything in place and pretty much crease free for many hours. Full Size $14.99
Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Hairspray- Ohhhhh! I like this. I have a couple cans of Ma Hair is Going to Survive Any Wind Storm Super Hold. I was happy to see this. It’s a softer medium hold spray that smells like berries. It’s fresh and a little sweet. It smells happy. It leaves your hair shiny, too. I like it! Travel Size $2.99
Here are all the swatches. Not a bad bad at all! Good Job, Ipsy! By the way Happy Birthday to you, Ipsy!!
So, Grand Total of this bag is *drumrool, please* is $43.71. Sweet!
I know what you are all saying, “Clare, you know it’s November, right?”
Yesssssss, I do. I’ve spent a few days of seeing friends, eating Thai food on the couch watching Hotel Hell (Srsly, Gordon Ramsay takes his clothes off in every episode!) and cleaning up my little misfit bungalow.
Better late than never, right?
So here we go…… :bang zoom:
This months bag is supah adorable! It’s teal and quilted. It has the circle thumb pull, which I so prefer. I love it!
Now for as overview shot.. Here’s the entire bag contents.
Minus the postcard inserts. Mine are somewhere?? 🙂
First Item- Starlooks Lipgloss in Guilty Pleasure. It’s a pinky browny nude. I like the color just not on me. This shade just doesn’t work on me. It smells like buttercream frosting with none of that plastic vanilla smell! Feels great on, too! Full Size is $12
Second Item- Nicole by OPI in Feeling Very Cherry. I’ve tried to find this on the Nicole by OPI website with no luck. Nonetheless, I LOVE IT! These vampy, sanguine fall polishes make me happy! So glad I got this shade. It applies smoothly. I used mine with a quick dry top coat at 8:30pm and was able to hit the sheets somewhere about an hour later with no marks. It did chip the next day, but that’s just the way regular polishes are on me. I’ll be trying this over gel this week. Average price $7
Third Item – Model Co. Volumeyes Mascara – (The link is for the Extreme Black.) I like this mascara. Works well with falsies. Very Black. And dare I say, :looks over shoulders: I like it better than UD’s Perversion. :A thousand gasps from the Goo Horders around the world: UD’s makes my eyes a little itchy, it’s not a smooth formula and makes my lashes the bad kinda spidery. I’ll keep trying it though. Model Co Volumeyes doesn’t do any of the above. So there. I might be burned at the stake for being the only one to go against the UD Perversion hype. (Send me macarons in Beauty Jail, please?) This is a $20 item.
Fourth Item – Epice Purifying Exfoliant. I think the Ipsy Team is watching me. Srsly, I’m a sucker for exfoliators, especially these superfine ones. I love the feeling of sandblasted, polished skin. I got the dr. brandt one a couple months ago and love it, too. Ipsy knows their audience, don’t they? The Epice on smells clean and does the job. It’s on the pricey side though. For 3.3 oz it’s $32. So, this 1oz tube is basically $10!
Fifth Item- Fig & Rouge Hand Cream in Rose Berry. If you read my August Favorites you know I have my HG hand cream. I’ve been using it for a decade. With that said, I don’t like hand creams/lotions. Only, The H2OPlus one. This will be going into the Friend’s Grab Bag. It’s okay. The smell to me is way too sweet and doesn’t dissipate. Personally, I don’t like my hands to smell like anything thing, but clean. A positive is that the packaging is ka-yoot! This tube is about $6.95.
Overall, I like this bag. There was only one total miss for me, the hand cream. The gloss, I can probably make work over a darker lipstick.
Let’s get a bag total: $44 (rounding up and that’s w/o the gloss) Not freaking bad, folks! Srsly for only $10.
If you want to join in on the Ipsy fun…. please use this link! I appreciate the points.
Yay for the Break of the Heatwave! Yay for getting some needed housework done after being under the weather and heat!
Today, after I get some stuff completed.. I’m picking up Toni the Art Model and we are going to have some Girlie Time ™. I know I’m going to be getting some Botox for my Elevens. Tomorrow we have a Retro Photo Shoot at the Beach planned.
But now… It’s Ipsy Time ™!
Here’s an overview:
This months bag itself? Super cute! It’s a square grey faux leather bag with some silver studs! Love it!
First, Nourish Organic Cucumber and Watercress Face Cleanser . It smells really clean. I haven’t used it, yet. I can’t wait to. Looks to be a deluxe sample!
Second, Crown Brush’s Infinity Shadow/ Crease Brush. I have used this. It’s soft, yet firm enough to blend out shadows beautifully! This brush will be in my rotation. Love it!
Third, Hikari’s Lipstick in Cabernet. It’s a beautiful pink (on me) wine matte lipstick. It’s creamy and pigmented. Wonderful bright color for Fall. This is another winner! It retails for $13!! Love it!
Fourth, is the Alterna Caviar CC Cream 10-n-1. Yesterday, I spent the day in the pool. Pool water is harsh, it took all the light pink I had put in a couple days ago. (I love pink hair, it makes me stoopid happy.). I also have bleach my hair twice in the passed week. As well, toning it 3 times. I hated the color. Out of weakness, I turned to the dye again. I decided to dye my roots (I started going white at 18.). After I shampooed the dark brown from my roots I decided to keep the blonde. Seeings out I didn’t condition my hair, because I thought I was going to go pink…. I put this and some spray leave-in, then blow dried. This stuff ROCKS!! It was probably one of the best blow outs I’ve given myself!! Love it!
Fourth, Pacifica’s Natural Minerals Eyeliner in Pewter. It’s lovely! Pewtery, sparkly and creamy. Can’t wait to use this as an eyeliner and as a base for shadow. Love it!
This months bag was really GOOD!!

I’m still on a Iggy Azalea kick.
Rocking out to ‘Work’ as I work on this reveal…. Just to let you know it’s not work or kidlet friendly by any means…
This morning I had some blood tests done. I’m glad I no longer have a BIG need phobia, it makes this (points at picture) easier.
And then I thought it would be a grand idea to add one of these things to my empty stomach! WEEEEEE!! HERE WE GO!
This month’s very cute orange polka dot bag is a lot like the clear pink plastic bag we got a several months ago.. (which I think my mom ‘stole’ from me. Who am I kidding, I probably gave it to her. We use them in our purses.).
First thing I pulled out of the bag was Urban Decay’s Perversion Mascara. I’ll be honest, I haven’t tried it. I have a bunch of mascaras going at the moment. I really do want to try it and I’ll let y’all know when I do.
Second was Abolute’s You’re the Balm in Grape. This has been living on my night stand (tubes roll off or the cat thinks they are toys). I like it, I feel totally 12 when I use it! It’s GRAPE-Y! it looks like it has tiny flecks of glitter in it, doesn’t show up on the lips. The formula is very slick and seems to be moisturizing. I haven’t had dry lips in a week, so there’s that.
Third is Dr. Brandt’s No More Pores. I lurve this stuff! I used it this past weekend for a night out. My foundation went on more smoothly, seemed to last longer and made my face feel smoooooth. It was a good day/night to test it… it was 90 in my “getting ready” area in my house! While my hair drooped 30 seconds after curling it, my face stayed intact. WIN!
Fourth is Coastal Scent’s Forever Blush. The colors are pretty. Swatched nicely. I just don’t think they are in my color wheel house. A little too orange and a little too baby pink… Swirling them together is okay. I go for blushed that are darker, like MAC Breezy.
Lastly…. Lord & Berry’s Silk Kajal. It’s good. It’s very smuge-able, it doesn’t seem to set. I still could blend it out an hour after swatching. It’s black. It’s an eyeliner. I do love me some eyeliner. This will be in my backup.
There you go… Ipsy for August. A pretty dang good bag!
